The Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), held an online webinar as part of its distance learning program on April 4, 2026. The webinar was conducted through Microsoft Teams to support a flexible and effective learning process for Professional Engineer Program students.
The webinar carried the theme “Case Study and Article Writing for PSPPI FT Undip”, focusing on strengthening students’ ability to develop systematic, high-quality academic writing in accordance with academic standards. The activity was attended by PSPPI students who actively participated throughout the session.
The webinar featured three speakers from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Sulardjaka, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng.; Dr. Ir. Agus Suprihanto, S.T., M.T., IPM.; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T., M.Sc., IPU. With their experience in academic writing and engineering publications, the speakers discussed writing as an important competency for professional engineers.
The materials covered techniques for developing case studies based on engineering practice, the structure of scientific articles, and strategies for effective academic publication. Participants were also presented with examples of well-structured writing and practical guidance for developing articles suitable for publication.
The webinar continued with an interactive discussion, allowing participants to ask questions directly about challenges they encountered during the writing process. The discussion made the session not only theoretical but also practical and solution-oriented.
Through this activity, PSPPI FT Undip continues to strengthen students’ academic writing skills and support them in meeting the study program’s publication requirements. The webinar also serves as part of PSPPI FT Undip’s ongoing efforts to prepare professional engineers who are capable of documenting and communicating their engineering knowledge and experience through academic publications.
