The Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), held a distance learning webinar on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Conducted online through Microsoft Teams, the activity was part of PSPPI FT Undip’s ongoing efforts to provide flexible and adaptive learning in the digital era.
The webinar carried the theme “Implementation of K3L in Engineering Practice,” focusing on the importance of applying Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental (K3L) principles throughout engineering activities. The session was attended by Professional Engineer Program students and lecturers.
The webinar featured three lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Silviana, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng.; Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., IPU.; and Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Samadikun, S.T., M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng. The speakers discussed K3L as not only a regulatory requirement but also an integral part of an engineer’s professional and ethical responsibility.
The materials covered the fundamental principles of K3L, strategies for implementation in the workplace, and case studies on K3L practices across various industrial sectors. Through the discussion, participants explored challenges commonly encountered in implementing K3L and possible approaches to address them effectively.
The webinar continued with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session. Participants actively engaged with the speakers and raised questions related to the practical application of K3L in engineering workplaces.
The use of Microsoft Teams also supported the learning process by enabling participants and lecturers to interact throughout the session despite the distance learning format.
Through this webinar, PSPPI FT Undip continues to strengthen its distance learning program while equipping future professional engineers with the knowledge and awareness needed to uphold safety, occupational health, and environmental responsibility in engineering practice.
