The Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), held an online lecture through a webinar on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. WIB. Conducted via Microsoft Teams, the webinar carried the theme “Professional Code of Ethics in Engineering Practice.”
The webinar was part of PSPPI FT Undip’s online learning activities and focused on the importance of professional ethics in carrying out engineering responsibilities. The session was attended by PSPPI students and lecturers.
The webinar featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Widayat, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. and Dr. Ir. Haryono Setiyo Huboyo, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., who brought their experience in engineering practice to the discussion. The speakers emphasized that professional ethics serves as an essential foundation for engineers in carrying out their duties and making professional decisions.
The materials covered the fundamental principles of engineering ethics, professional responsibility toward society, and several case studies illustrating ethical dilemmas encountered in engineering practice. Participants were also invited to discuss various ethical issues that may arise in the workplace.
The webinar continued through an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session. Participants actively engaged with the speakers and explored how ethical principles can be applied when facing real-world engineering situations.
The online format enabled students and lecturers to participate from different locations while maintaining interaction throughout the session.
Through this activity, PSPPI FT Undip continues to strengthen professional education by equipping students with not only technical competencies but also ethical principles that are essential in the practice of engineering.
